While researching my upcoming flight to Australia, I stumbled upon a fascinating tool called Plane Finder. It provides a real time map of active flights around the world, complete with flight paths, call signs, and aircraft details. It is a compelling way to see just how active global air travel really is.
I was surprised by how crowded the skies were. At the moment I checked, more than 9,500 flights were in the air. Seeing that activity visualized on a single interactive map gives you an entirely new appreciation for the complexity of global aviation.
