I have been experimenting with jQuery recently and decided to build a visual way to showcase the countries I have visited. During that process, I came across jQuery Vector Maps (http://jqvmap.com/), a lightweight and well documented library that makes it easy to create interactive maps.
With only a few lines of code and the stock world map, I was able to generate a clean, interactive visualization of my travels. The customization options are straightforward, and the library is flexible enough for a wide range of use cases.
